Special Announcement

We are delighted to congratulate Annie Somerville on her election to the Board of Dragon Boat Victoria at the AGM on 13 November. Following the AGM, Annie was also elected Chair and President of the organisation.

Annie served as President of Dragons Afloat Bendigo from 2015 to 2024, during which time she led significant growth in membership and fostered a strong culture of support, respect and passion for dragon boating. An accredited coach, accomplished paddler and drummer, and an exceptional organiser, Annie has contributed enormously to the development and success of our club. Her dedication and leadership have been truly outstanding.

We extend our warmest wishes to Annie as she takes on her new role. Her vision, collaborative approach and deep commitment to the sport will be invaluable in guiding Dragon Boat Victoria and supporting the continued advancement of dragon boating across the state.

Congratulations, Annie, from all our members, families, friends and supporters. We are incredibly proud of you. Paddles up!
