New Paddlers
Thinking about taking up dragon boat paddling?
New paddlers are always welcome at our club regardless of experience, gender or fitness.
You will need a Dragon Pass It is FREE of charge so you can get a feel for the sport and a taste of what our club is like, or contact us and we will work out how and when we can help to get you started.
The Dragon Pass a national scheme and it covers insurance, coaching and equipment for 28 consecutive days.
Registering for Dragon Pass

You will be required to select the Dragon Pass ($0.00) option and enter some of basic personal information and contact details. Once entered, agree to the Terms of Registration which act both as the waiver form for the trial period and the member declaration which would be used if you were to become a full member in the future.
Reminder
Once registered for Dragon Pass you have 28 consecutive days in which you are allowed to paddle with an affiliated club. This cannot be used for any 28 days across a season, it must be used consecutively and begins once registration is confirmed.
Once the 28-day period is expired you are no longer permitted to paddle unless you register and pay dues of a full-time individual member with a club. There is no option for extension of the trial period.

What you need to bring

Clothes that are comfortable to paddle in - hat, shorts, a t-shirt, and runners or closed in toe, non slip footwear (no heavy boots or thongs)

Thermals, spray jacket and paddling gloves (Autumn/Winter)

A water bottle.

Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat

A desire to have a bit of fun.
Training times
Training is held once a week in the colder months, on Saturday morning. A second session is added when the weather warms up and is usually a weekday afternoon/evening (TBA)

Location and Parking:
We meet at the pontoon in front of the Bendigo Rowing Club off Weeroona Road. Parking is free
