Event information

Dragons Afloat Bendigo provides inclusive paddling programs tailored to your personal goals, alongside a free 4-week Dragon Pass trial to help you experience the sport firsthand. All sessions take place on Lake Weeroona.
Find Your Pace: Three Paths to Paddling
Our training streams ensure every member can enjoy the sport at an intensity level that works for them:
-
Fitness Program: A low-impact, full-body workout that burns calories, builds endurance, and strengthens your core, shoulders, and back. It is a fantastic outdoor alternative to the gym.
-
Intensity: Moderate, with a focus on steady, continuous paddling.
-
Recreational & Social Program: Perfect for those who want to enjoy the water and meet fantastic people without the pressure of racing. We focus on team harmony, fundamental paddling skills, and enjoying a coffee together after training.
-
Intensity: Light to moderate, emphasizing rhythm and enjoyment.
-
Competitive Program: For those who love the thrill of racing, this program steps up the intensity. We focus on advanced paddling mechanics, power, race starts, and team synchronisation to prepare for regional and state regattas.
-
Intensity: High, incorporating interval training and race-simulation drills.
